Qi (pronounced “chee”), Ki (pronounced “kee”) & Prana
Qi is the Chinese word.
Ki is the Japanese word.
Prana is the Indian word.
Some people call it light.
Wellness is attained by rebalancing the energy of the body. Acupuncture achieves the proper balance of Qi with the use of needles. In Ayurveda, the body’s prana is balanced with yogic poses (asanas) and breathing techniques.
“Rei” refers to the cosmic, universal life energy that exists outside of us. “Ki” is the fundamental life force that flows and pulsates within all living things. The Reiki practitioner acts as a medium through which the Universal Life Force (Rei) flows. She takes it in through the Crown chakra on the top of her head and releases it through her hands into the recipient’s body.
